Why you don’t need a “boiler cover” package

Some larger companies like British Gas and AA rave about their boiler and home cover package.

At Pro Heating we believe that a job done, is a job done right. We don’t offer breakdown cover, or ask our clients to sign up to a monthly contract. We know you don’t need it, because when we service your boiler we do it well. Of course there will always be emergency situations, but we aim to eliminate those. If you look after your boiler and central heating system you dramatically reduce the chances of it needing an emergency callout.

Here are our top tips for looking after your boiler:

    • Service your boiler annually
      Not only will this prolong the life of your boiler and keep it working efficiently, it is required by your manufacturer to maintain the warranty
    • Make sure you turn your heating on regularly
      Yes you might not need it during the summer months, but it is good to check that everything is working. Also, when you finally do switch your heating on in Autumn, your boiler has to work harder to heat up
    • Bleed your radiators and/or have a power flush done every year
      Consider it a cleanse for your central heating system. Getting rid of the sludge makes everything run more smoothly
    • Insulate your pipes
      If they freeze it may affect your boiler
